Introduction
The A.C.Ryan BlueNeon ATA133 Cables we will be looking at today actually consists out of two mods. It is a
rounded cable, this is not really something new and you could easily round a cable yourself with some tape,
but that will of course never look so good as some of these premodded rounded cables on the market. And then
the second mod in this product is the El cable which they have wrapped around the rounded cable. Rounded cables
are mainly used because they look nicer, and somewhat improve the airflow in your case.
The A.C.Ryan BlueNeon ATA133 Cable is just one of the products in A.C.Ryan’s long inventory list. It seems
every time I turn around they've got something new added, which is a great thing. I don't know about you,
but that kind of product advancement is what I like to see for the community.

The A.C.Ryan BlueNeon ATA133 Cable comes nicely
packaged in a clear, plastic bag with a cardboard top which displays the product name. You can see exactly what
you are purchasing through the bag. On the cardboard top is the other line of Neon Rounded Cables A.C.Ryan carries.

Included in the package is the BlueNeon ATA133 cable,
the inverter, and a small bag of two screws and velcro strips.
Features
The size of the A.C.Ryan BlueNeon ATA133 Cable is 60cm (24 inches). This is great for those
who have server towers, yet if you have a small case, the length may be an issue. Yet, A.C.Ryan
saw this as an issue and created a 45cm (18inch cable) for those who need a shorter cable. For
some this may not be short enough though.

One major difference between A.C.Ryan's BlueNeon ATA133 Cable and a normal rounded ATA133
cable is that you need to give it power, due to the light. This makes it somewhat harder to
conceal your wires in your case, yet it's not much of an issue. The power for the cable is
drawn in from a molex connection and an inverter. The inverter is very small, yet there is one
big problem with it, the sound it emmits. The inverter emits a very high pitch sound that is quite
irratating. Yet, if you have a loud rig, this won't be an issue to you.

Once the cable is plugged in and powered it emits a very bright blue light. I was quite surprised by
how bright the cable actually is, though it's not as bright as a cold cathode (ccfl). The light is blue,
not aqua like some other manufacture's have created.
Conclusion
A.C.Ryan's BlueNeon ATA133 Cable works perfectly. It creates excellent airflow, connects two hard drives
and looks amazing lit up. Yet, the price tag and the high pitch sound emitted from the inverter bring the
score down quite a bit. Overall, this is a great product, if A.C.Ryan could fix the high pitch sound, this
product would be worth the cost.
